R&B singer Mary J. Blige is known for her pipes and her ability to stir a crowd during live performances. But the performer recently tried her hand at rapping. She’s featured on one of the remixes of Busta Rhymes’ latest hit, “Touch It.” Blige is also featured rapping in the video for the remix which was recently shot in Brooklyn. |
Blige isn’t ready to give up her day job though. She’s set to perform at this week’s Grammy Awards with U2 and her latest album, The Breakthrough, is almost double platinum. |
“You get a chance to really, you know, get in touch with your fans, and talk to them and let them touch you. And let them see that you’re not too big to come down to a record store, sign their CDs and even give them some hugs and have them just talk to you.” |
With all of her success, Blige is still humble and she looks forward to interacting with her fans. The singer explained why she loves making in store appearances. Blige said, |
