Gwen Stefani’s solo tracks “Rich Girl” and “Hollaback Girl” and her album Love. Angel. Music. Baby went 0 for 4 at the Grammy Awards, and now it’s time for her to get back to her rock roots with No Doubt. Bandmate, drummer Adrian Young, said the band is gearing up to start work on a new album. |
Young was asked if the band has a different headspace, and Young revealed that this was the first time the foursome has taken a lengthy time-out since breaking through in the mid-1990s. |
“Um I think the only change in mindset is that this is first time we’ve taken a break as a band in our 18 year career. So that’s going to be different that…it’s going to be weird to go back after such a long break of making music together. Because we used to never take breaks. This is the first one. So it’ll be weird to get back into the mode.” |

“As far as outside influences of what everyone else has been doing, you know, we all get into a room together it’s always No Doubt again.” |
No Doubt’s last studio release was 1991’s Rock Steady, which featured the standout tracks “Hey Baby,” “Hella Good,” and “Underneath It All.” |
