CHINGY WANTS TO LIMIT GUESTS ON NEW ALBUM

St. Louis-based rapper Chingy will release his third solo album, Hood Star, this spring. The album will feature the production of the Track Starz, Mannie Fresh, Kwame, Timbaland, DJ Quik, Three 6 Mafia, DJ Smurf, and Voodoo. When we talked to Chingy he shared that he was hoping to keep the vocal guests to a minimum. The rapper said,

Since we spoke to Chingy, he’s added appearances by Janet Jackson and Jody Breeze to the album.

“I got Choppa, Young City from Making the Band and Mannie Fresh on there. My little cousin Spiffy off my label, Slot-A-Lot Records, my first artist, Young Spiffy on there. And who else I got on there? I ain’t got too many people on there, you know what I’m sayin’? So it’s basically kinda based around me a lot.”

The set’s first official single is “Nasty Girls.”
