HOOBASTANK NEW ALBUM PROLONGS TRAVEL
Hoobastank is set to release its new album, Every Man For Himself, on May 16, and the band had chosen “If I Were You” as their first single from the album. It’s the band’s third effort following it’s self-titled debut and their sophomore effort, The Reason, which spawned the monster title track. |
The band’s success has allowed it to travel the world, and singer Doug Robb said that it’s a far cry from living in the Los Angeles area and the west coast world. He said the globe seems like a much smaller place. |
“It’s so strange how after four years of touring how small the world has become. After the first month of touring it’s weird because I’m so used to being in Los Angeles all the time, and it’s almost like anybody who doesn’t travel that much, it’s almost like they’re in this little bubble. This is the only world they know and eveything seems so far away and foreign. Now it’s really cool that I can go to Paris or go to Tokyo and all these different — and Sydney and stuff like that — and be familiar, like, completely familiar with… I know what restaurants I like to go, I know how to get around on those streets, and it’s really made the world so much samller and so much homey-er. I don’t feel out of place, almost everywhere I go.” |
Hoobastank is currently plotting out a tour to support the record, but in the meantime fans can go to the band’s website, hoobastank.com, to hear the new track and an additional track, “Born To Lead.” |
