HARD-FI TO TOUR STILL WITHOUT MAIN MEMBER
(VIDEO) Hard-Fi is set to hit the road once again in the States to support their new album, and still they’ll be down one main member. The band explains…here! |
Hard-Fi is making the rounds in the U.S. once again, and they still haven’t gotten the immigration problem of bassist Kai Stevens worked out. Stevens missed the band’s first go-around, and it looks like he’ll miss the current string of dates which run through April 29 at Coachella. |
Stevens is an integral part of the band and an integral part of the live exerience, said drummer Steve Kemp, guitarist Ross Philips and singer/songwriter Richard Archer. |
[Kemp] “Without the fourth member of Hard-Fi, we’re not… [Archer]”…we’re a man down.” [Kemp] “We’re a man down. Kai is great, Kai looks great, and Kai’s the epitome of what Hard-Fi is.” [Archer] “His personality comes through in his playing, his singing, and everything he does. You cut him in half an it’d have Hard-Fi written for him. We’ve got a guy helping us out at the moment, and he’s really great. He’s really stepped in and taken… stepped up to the plate. just not Kai. Kai is Hard-Fi, and we can’t wait to get him out. We feel the people who have seen us, hopefully they’ve seen a great show, but they ain’t seen the real deal yet. They haven’t seen it in full effect.” [Kemp] “The next time we come back they’ll watch it again and it’ll be, ‘Oh I’ve seen you guy already, but who’s this?’ He’ll come over. We’re going to get it worked out.” |
Hard-Fi’s latest album, Stars Of CCTV, has been released in the U.S. and their first single “Cash Machine” is holding up well at Alternative Rock radio. The album hit Number One in the band’s native U.K. |
