Rapper Snoop Dogg has signed a licensing agreement with toy maker Jakks Pacific Inc. to develop and market pet products.

The line will be geared toward dogs and will include leashes, beds, treats, toys, and a variety of dog accessories.

“We think Snoop Dogg will be a perfect complement to our new pet line,” said Jakks Pacific’s senior vice president of licensing and media. “Our team is really excited to develop and market what we expect will be an urban and edgy line.”

The new pet line is expected to hit retail locations nationwide late this year.

According to Snoop, “Snoop Dogg’s love goes beyond people-it is for living creatures throughout the universe, how can I be Snoop Dogg and not show my love for pets?”
