AVANT WANTS TO RECORD DUET ALBUM WITH KEKE WYATT

R&B singer Avant will release his fourth solo album, Director, later this month but the singer is already looking forward to his next project, a duet album with Keke Wyatt. Avant and Wyatt have released two previous collaborations, 2000’s “My First Love” from Avant’s platinum, My Thoughts and 2001’s “Nothing In This World” from Wyatt’s gold certified, Soul Sista. |
Avant explained his decision to record the duet project. He said, |
“Actually I did a record on her album. She’s on Universal. She’s with Cash Money and it’s called ‘Do You Mind.’ But my whole goal is after I finish my album. A lot of people say, ‘Why didn’t you do a song with KeKe?’ Cause my main goal is to finish my album and to go in and do a duet album with me and Keke where we do cover songs and we do a couple of original joints. Because I know that’s what the people are really needing right now.” |
Director will feature guest appearances by Anthony Hamilton and Lil’ Wayne with production by Jermaine Dupri, the Underdogs, and Rodney Jerkins. |
Wyatt is working on her sophmore album, Emotional Rollercoaster, which will be released on Cash Money Records later this year. The singer has leaked one single from the project, “Put Your Hands On Me.” |
