YUMMI BINGHAM WANTS ONE MORE CHANCE
R&B singer songwriter Yummi Bingham recently released a new single, “One More Chance,” from her forthcoming debut album, First Seed. The set is slated for an early summer release and will feature the production of Rockwilder with guest appearances by Busta Rhymes and Jadakiss. |
Bingham began her career as a member of Tha Rayne, a group which was signed to Kay Gee of Naughty By Nature’s Divine Mill label but after the group disbanded the singer decided to go solo. |
“Being raised in Queens and just the way I was brought up and with the musical environment I was around as well, lead me to become you know really influenced with taking on music as my career. And so early because I had so much freedom really to do what I wanted to do but at the same time I had so many restrictions because of my religion. So being, being a rebel which is really all I became you know, got me to be Yummi, the artist.” |
But Bingham was probably a solo act way before that. The singer explained how growing up a rebel enabled her to become Yummi the artist. She said, |
