DMC SET TO RELEASE SOLO DEBUT

Run-DMC’s DMC recently released his solo debut album, Checks, Thugs, & Rock N’ Roll. The album fetaures guest appearances by Kid Rock, DJ lethal Doug E. Fresh, Sarah McLachlan, the late Jam Master Jay, and Gary Dourdan. The album also includes a limited edition DVD. |
DMC is currently promoting two singles and videos from the project, “Machine Gun,” and “Just Like Me.” |

Following the death of Jam Master Jay, the remaining members of Run-DMC, Reverend Run and DMC decided to disband the group and to move forward with solo projects. |
Jam Master Jay was shot and killed in 2002 while playing videos games at his Queens recording studio. DMC shared his thoughts on ending the violence in the hip hop community. He said, |
