Before Michael Douglas ever stepped onto a movie set he was cutting his teeth as an actor on the small screen as Inspector Steve Keller on the television series The Streets of San Francisco. So when it came time to cast the role of a rookie agent in The Sentinel, he gravitated towards the work ethic of fellow television star Eva Longoria and gave her a shot.

Eva Longoria was also seasoned in the ways of playing a detective as she starred in the ill-fated television series L.A. Dragnet as Detective Gloria Duran. rn

When you’re dealing with someone like Eva who’s already had her fair share of soaps and other shows and now has this wonderful opportunity on Desperate Housewives, she’s grateful, she’s happy, she’s well disciplined and a great ensemble player.
