ALO, Animal Liberation Orchestra, have rereleased their album ‘Fly Between Falls’ this time with the help of Jack Johnson’s label Brushfire Records. By rereleasing the album with Brushfire it enables the band to get their music out to a wider audience not only around the country, but around the world. We caught up with Dan Lebovitz and Steve Adams of ALO to discuss their goals in releasing the album. |
It was recently announced that ALO will be opening up a run of Eastcoast date with The Dave Matthews Band. Already with dates on the summer festival circuit at Wakarusa, High Sierra, Summer Camp and the All Good Festival look for the band to continue to touring in support of ‘Fly Between Falls.’ |
“We came out with the album and we released it on our own, independently which was real nice and we got it out to people. But then Brushfire took it on and they wanted to release it which kind of opens it up to the whole country and the rest of the world and lots of places we never could have gotten it to on our own. What that gave us the opportunity to do and I feel a lot of artists feel this way and I know we felt this way in the past about older albums is you release it and then a few months down the line you’re like ‘Oh, I wish I could change this or this.’ And it’s pretty cool because we actually got the opportunity. It’s our final draft.” |
