HOOBASTANK RELEASES EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF
(VIDEO) Hoobastank built an obstacle course while recording the album? Well not exaclty. We’ll let them tell you about the album’s obstacles. |
Hoobastank’s new effort, Every Man For Himself, was released to stores on Tuesday, and the band has a good shot at being the highest charting debut, challenged by Christina Milian’s new effort. |
For Hoobastank, it’s the band’s first album of brand new material in almost three years, and they talked about the biggest obstacle in getting it done. |
[Estrin] “Well, we set up this obstacle course, like everyday. We’d pull in the gate and we got cones up and stuff…” [Robb] “I think the biggest obstacle was the tire thing.” [Estrin] “That was probably the toughest from my car to the guitars in the recording area, having to do that every day, dude.” [Robb] “In all honesty, the biggest obstacle in getting this record done was– [Estrin] “I like big stixx. Oh you said popsicle or obstacle? Oh.” [Robb] Yeah, you took my answer.” |
As part of their promotional tour, Hoobastank visited Jimmy Kimmel Live on Friday, May 19. The band’s current single is “If I Were You.” |
“I think the fact that we recorded it while touring at the same time, which meant we were on the road Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and we’d fly back, literally we’d go from the airport to the stuido Monday through Thursday and record. That was physically very tiring.” |
