“I worked with Vince on Rudy, it was the first time I met him. That was in South Bend, Indiana in 1992. Then we became friends when I moved to Los Angeles and we worked together then again on Swingers which I wrote for he and myself to be in. We worked again together on a movie called Made which I directed and he starred in. Finally he had been on Dinner for Five, the talk show I was doing, he’d been on that a couple of times but the next time we had worked together was here on The Break-Up. It had been quite some time with acting appearances. We had been friends with each other. He’s come into my editing room on Elf and worked with me and helped me out but it’s more of a social relationship. It’s nice to get in front of the camera with him and sort of mix it up a bit.” |
