“Profoundly different record and experience for us. This was the first time we worked a with a rock producer, let alone someone as brilliant as Tom Rothrock and secondly and maybe even more importantly we were working together writing the music in the moment all together. Ususally we’d come in with songs already written and then there’s stuff we’ve worked up live and have been playing live for a year before we recorded it on a record. For this we sat down all together, set a tempo, picked a key and kind of said ‘Alright, let’s go for it.'” |
