STONE SOUR RELEASES SINGLE, ALBUM DROPS IN AUGUST
(VIDEO) Slipknot’s Corey Taylor has different vocal expressions with Stone Sour. The new single is out and the new album is right around the corner… details here! |
Stone Sour has released a new single, “Through Glass,” and the tune is the Number Two most added track behind Pearl Jam’s “Life Wasted” at Alternative radio. The band finally decided on Roy Mayorga as their drummer, and their new album, Come What(ever) May, will hit stores August 1. |
Vocalist Corey Taylor’s other main gig is Slipknot, and he said that Stone Sour allows him to explore a different vocal range. |
“The whole reason this was put together, the germination of this, was because you can only be brutal so much before you need to express yourself in different music. I mean, musically, lyrically, vocally, so with this band I’m really able to kind of go back to where we came from, where I came from as far as singing styles go. I just want to make sure that it was melodic as hell, you know? On this album I really wanted to express the fact that you don’t need to scream your head off to convey emotion. I know a lot of people think that, but it’s just not true.” |
Stone Sour will be guests on Korn’s Family Values Tour starting July 27 in Virginia Beach. |
