D BLOCK TO RELEASE COMBO MIXTAPE

(VIDEO) D Block set to release special CD/DVD……

D Block, which is comprised of the Lox’s Sheek Louch, Jadakiss, and Styles P, and newcomer Jae Hood, will release a special mixtape CD/DVD, on July 11th on D Block/Koch Records. The CD will feature production by Super Mario, Devine, Clinton Sparks, and Poobs. The DVD will contain 120 minutes of footage including a documentary, music videos and behind the scenes footage.

In addition to being a super-group, D Block is the name of the label that the Lox created. Louch explained that he decided to form the label so he and his partners wouldn’t have to depend on being artists. He shared how he eventually convinced Styles and Jadakiss. Louch said,

“Kiss always wanted to a do a solo project, like also with the Lox album. Never to leave the group but just he wanted to do that. Styles like eventually go into it. But I was always that cat, ‘Yo man we got to start our own label. We got to this. Screw going down there. Screw going to pay Sony for sessions dog let’s buy some equipment with some of this money. Let’s do this.’ I was that cat like to where them n***s was like, ‘Yo man, alright man, damn. We tired of hearing about that.'”

D Block will release two singles and videos from the project “Devine/Everything Ya Got.”

In related news, Styles P, Jadakiss, and Jae Hood are currently working on solo projects. The Lox are also working on their long-awaited third group album.
