Henry Winkler stars in Click playing Adam Sandler’s dad which features the comedian in some heavier acting moments with Sandler’s character who is struggling with some father and son issues. The 61 year old has done a lot of growing up since playing The Fonz in Happy Days, and you might say he’s aging even more gracefully on screen. |
The scenes with Winkler were very poignant for Sandler who unlike his character once shared a very close relationship with his real father. Kate Beckinsale who plays Sandler’s wife agrees that Click is a serious comedy. rn |
“I have the pleasure of playing Adam Sandler’s dad. You know the movie goes back and forth in time throughout Adam’s character’s life. So you see us at 27, you see us at Adam Sandler’s birth, you see Adam when he is a family man. And then you see me at 86. It is astounding.”rn |
Click currently the number one movie in America took in a mere 40 million dollars it’s opening weekend.rn |
“I think the very best comedies it has got a kind of under current of real serious life in it. There’s a sort of central question in the movie about really what’s important in life and the mistakes that we’ve made and regrets that you can have.” |
