THE BEATLES LIVE PERFORMANCE HITS VEGAS

Cirque Du Soleil’s latest project is The Beatles, and this Fourth Of July weekend marked the premiere of ths show titled, Love. The Las Vegas production teamed with legendary Beatles producer George Martin for the show featuring some known and rare versions of Beatles classics, and it’s featured in the famed Cirque performance that can only be found in Las Vegas.

The premiere was attended by Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono, Olivia Harrison, Sir George Martin, Giles Martin, Julian Lennon, Cynthia Lennon, and Paul McCartney. George Martin explained that his aim in taking part in the project was to put on a Beatles Live show.

“We obviously wanted to make it sound as live as possible. We wanted to recreate The Beatles in live form. Imagine The Beatles were still alive and they were performing for you on stage. What we’re doing is we’re putting on a Beatles live show, a Beatles rock concert. That’s what we’ve tried to achieve, to give them the immediacy of the boys as they were.”

The premiere was attended by Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono, Olivia Harrison, Sir George Martin, Giles Martin, Julian Lennon, Cynthia Lennon, and Paul McCartney. George Martin explained that his aim in taking part in the project was to put on a Beatles Live show.

“The Beatles involvement was them, a question of coming in and listening to what we’ve been doing as we developed it over the two years, and when the show actually got to the point where it was actually in rehearsal here (Las Vegas), they would come and see what was going on.”
