MARLON WAYANS SHRINKS FOR ROLE

Little Man is available on Widescreen DVD November 7 featuring secrets behind Marlon Wayans shrinking role.

Marlon Wayans felt vertically challenged playing the role of his criminal mini me in Little Man. The over six foot comedian discusses the challenges of having to act only with his head as his tiny body is all special effects.

Shawn Wayans who plays Marlon’s adoptive father in the film has to do all his scenes opposite his brother’s body double.

“If you notice I’m like 6’2”, not 2’6” so that’s kind of hard too. And then on top of that I got to play a baby too so it’s a lot. I got all this and I can’t use my body because it’s just like my head. And when I’m acting and I’m supposed to be driving in a car I’m really sitting on a box and I’m not in a car. When I’m running it’s really not me running, somebody else is running and I’m acting with my head. I might as well got my head chopped off and just had that come to set. At least my body could be at home sleeping.”

“Through Keenan our chemistry was brought together because he knew what it was that I did and then Marlon would match the scene with what it was that he was doing. I shot most of my stuff first with his body double. So then Marlon would watch what I did and then he would adlib. It was interesting and different but I missed having him with me on the set at the same time because we have a blast doing it but this turned out really good.”
