JERMAINE DUPRI HOOKS UP WITH LG FOR NEW PHONE

Jermaine Dupri recently hooked up with LG to create his own personalized Limited Edition So So Def Fusic Phone complete with MP3 player and FM transimitter. The producer and mobile company decided to auction off several of the limited edition phones to raise money for the Jermaine Dupri Foundation.

The Limited Edition So So Def FUSIC Phone also comes with a microSD memory port, ring tone composer, camera/camcorder, four interchangeable faceplates, and the ability to access your entire music collection on the handset. Dupri added his personal flair to the phone by helping to create the Swarovski crystal design that blings out the front and back of this limited edition phone. The phone also includes So So Def content such as videos, songs, and photos and personal content from JD and comes packaged with your very own Afroman doll and blinged out portable speakers.

“The phone, I’m really, really excited to start really playing around with it. We was just running through a couple of things that it does. You can switch to FM radio and you know put your music in play from your phone. That’s crazy. That’s never happened before. It has speakers. It got a set of speakers that come in the box. You plug in the side, you can just listen to your music. You can make your own ring tones and it’s got all my music and everything. I got pictures of me in here, so that’s real exciting.”

At a party last month to celebrate the new So So Def Fusic Phone, Dupri said,

“Yeah I mean of course, I mean this is my big brother’s party. You know it’s J.D.’s party. He’s doing his thing So So Def so I figured I come out here. Why not? You know and support him and what he’s got going on. I think Franchize Boyz is performing so no telling he might want me to get on stage and perform the remix. No telling what’s up with that dude. But I’m just happy to be here to support him.”

Dupri’s protege Bow Wow also showed up to lend his support to the new phone. He said,

In related, Dupri has been busy at his day job as president of urban music at Virgin Records. He’s been hard at work on Janet Jackson’s new album, 20 Years Old, which will be released on September 26th. The first single from the project is “Call Me” featuring Nelly.
