LETOYA LUCKETT ENJOYING LIFE AFTER DC
R&B singer LeToya has a hit on her hands as her single “Torn” has risen to the top of the R&B charts. The singer will release her self-titled debut album next week. She shared what fans can expect. LeToya said, |
The singer is no newcomer. She was a founding member of Destiny;s Child but left the group in 1999. She and the other former DC member, LeTavia Roberson, formed a short-lived group called Anjel. Later Letoya she opened her own boutique in Houston, and was featured on the soundtrack to 1985’s Coach Carter. |
“Well, the album is due to be released on July 25th. I have a lot of great producers on this record, I have Jermaine Dupri, Jazze Pha, Scott Storch, Brian Michael Cox. Also have some great writers, Johnta Austin, Dave Young. I’m from Houston, Texas, so I gotta rep the H-Town, so I have Mike Jones, Slim Thug, Paul Wall and Bun-B on there as well.” |
LeToya has also landed the opening slot on Mary J. Blige’s new Breakthrough tour which kicks-off this weekend. The tour also features Jaheim. |
