DIDDY TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM IN OCTOBER

Hip hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs made a name for himself as a talented producer and eventually as an artist in his own right. Now Diddy is set to release his fifth and final album, Press Play, on October 3rd. The mogul said, “I’m known for dramatic titles — ‘Unforgivable’ the cologne, [the albums] No Way Out, Forever, The Saga Continues. I’ve evolved a little bit. Studied the game, been a part of it, had success. It all comes down to pressing play. After you press play, it’s gonna make or break you in this game. That’s where I’m at. We about to press play on October 3, and hopefully I can make people feel good.”

Although Diddy has already leaked a dance track, “Get Off,” he still hasn’t decided on an official first single. The two finalist are “Touch Me” featuring Christina Aguilera, and “Come to Me” featuring Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls.

“This last three months have been incredible for me. Number One and Two singles on the chart for the label, Number One fragrance. And they just given me a star in Hollywood. They just announced that they gonna give me my star in Hollywood. You know I thank God for that. Thank ya’ll, truly Black star power. I heard Jamie Foxx is getting one two so we’re gonna definitely rip up Hollywood that night. Also I’m starring in ‘A Raisin In the Sun.’ I start shooting that in November and it will be out in May so you know that’s something that’s very close to me. It’s my last album as a solo artist and God willing I’mma transfer into doing more movies.”

As for the overall sound of the album, Combs said, “It’s basically all my musical experiences from the Uptown era, when I was working with Jodeci, Mary J. Blige and Guy and Heavy D and everything I learned as a producer from that. To the Biggie, 112, Mase, Total, Diddy, No Way Out era.”
