R&B Sammie will release his new self-titled album later this summer on Dallas Austin’s Rowdy Records. The singer is attempting to re-enter the entertainment industry after taking a break to complete high school. Sammie explained why he decided to self-title his sophomore album. He said,

The latest single from the project is “You Should Be My Girl” featuring Sean Paul of the YoungBloodz. The album also features a guest appearance by Da Back Wudz.

“The first one we titled it from Tha Bottom To The Top. It meant a lot of things, coming from not necessarily rags to riches but the bottom of the map to global to internationally known. Also I’m from Miami so that’s the bottom of the map. This one I wanted to be simple but personal. And I think what’s more personal than giving them me, you know what I’m sayin’? So just Sammie, just kept it simple.”
