CIARA MIXING IT UP ON NEW ALBUM

Grammy Award winner Ciara is currently hard at work on a new album. The singer shared how the process was going so far. She said,

In related news, Ciara recently released a new single, “Get Up” featuring Chamillionaire. The song is the lead single from the Step Up soundtrack which hits stores on August 8th. The soundtrack also features appearances by Petey Pablo, Anthony Hamilton, the Clipse, and Youngbloodz. Step Up, the teen dance film, opens in theaters on August 11th.

“I’m working with so many talented producers and also some underdogs which I really love because you know I feel like I’m part of the evolution of music as an up and coming artist. I think it’s only right that when I move that I can also bring others along with me that are coming up and give them a shot. So that’s the cool thing about it. That’s what I’m excited about more than anything. I mean the producers ya’ll, the energy is crazy. I’m writing even more. I mean I co-wrote my whole first album but just like I’m also co-producing a lot of records too which is really fun, something different. But I’m not gonna go to far off. I’m not gonna try to do my own thing all the way but still I kinda have a vision of what I want there.”

Ciara released her triple platinum debut, Goodies, in 2004.

The singer, who was formerly involved in a serious relationship with rapper Bow Wow, is now very single.
