JET SET FOR NEW ALBUM

(VIDEO) Jet is getting set for their new album titled, Shine On, and it’s slated to hit stores October 2nd!!!

Jet is set to release their new album titled Shine On this coming October 2. The first single from the album, “Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is,” is set to break at radio on August 7th. The effort was produced by Dave Sardy and it was recorded in Barbados, Massachusetts and in their native Australia.

The band worked with Sardy on their last album, Get Born, and Nic, the band’s vocalist and guitarist, says they just bonded with the producer during those sessions.

“Every single song on the record we’ve recorded before on our own and did a bad job on it. We weren’t of the mindset that we’re going to go in here and rush and do it all in a week because that’s rock and roll. We’re taking our time with this thing if it takes a month so be it if it takes two months we don’t care. We just wanted to get it right finally. We were pretty meticulous with getting sounds, as was Dave, really meticulous with getting the right guitar sounds and tones and getting a hold of the right equipment. As I said earlier choosing a producer was at the end of the day a leap of faith especially for us because we didn’t know what the f–k we were doing. We were making it as we went along, but it turned out that he was a really amazing guy to work with and he became a really good close friend of ours in the process.”

Jet’s last album, Get Born, was released in 2003 and spawned the smash hits “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” and “Cold Hard Bitch.” A tour is currently in the planning stages and will kick off September 18 and run through October 6. The band will return to the United States in late November for a full-blown tour.
