Funny man Will Ferrell is NASCAR racing driver Ricky Bobby in Talladega Nights:The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Ricky takes his job very seriously out there on the track and describes what the term shake and bake means when it comes to his winning ways.

Ricky talks about what it takes to be a number one championship NASCAR racer.

“Shake and bake what it means is, I mean basically it’s kind of what we do to other cars in the field. You feel something shaking come along and the next thing you know you’ve been baked right just out of pure speed. That singe smell, you ever burn somethin’ in the oven cause the oven too high, that’s what we do to the other cars on the track. We shake them, then we bake them. It’s pretty fun to say, shake and bake.”

“We have more torque I believe. Science shows that NASCAR has more torque to their bodies. Your body is pulling 7 to 8 Gs just coming out of a pitstop. Why don’t you try to do that? You try to drive under the conditions of seven to eight degrees of torque. Right, pulling 7, 8 Gs forget about it, you’d throw up your lunch every time.”
