OZZY OSBOURNE LOVES PLAYING SECOND STAGE

Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon Osbourne launched their Hard Rock signature series of T-Shirts to benefit the misses Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program on Friday. On Saturday, Osbourne made a last minute change at OzzFest to perform on the second stage at New York’s Randall’s Island.

The Prince Of Darkness has made several appearances on the second stage during this year’s OzzFest tour, and he was asked about the experience.

“It’s ph[enomenal]…. OzzFest I’ve had so much fun with OzzFest. I’ve been playing on the second stage where I can get to see the people better. There’s no seats or (inaudible). It’s just a big open area. Last night we had 13,000 people, and it was fabulous.”

The temperature soared into the ’90s on Saturday, and it’s been hot for most of the tour. One journalist asked Osbourne if it’s ever too hot for leather, and Sharon had something to say about the bizarre question.

[Question] “Hi Ozzy, how are you? As the Godfather Of Heavy Metal you’re probably more qualified to answer this than anyone in the world. Is it ever too hot to wear leather? [Ozzy] “I don’t wear leather –” [Reporter] Is it ever too hot to wear Leather!? [Ozzy] “It’s up to the person…oh f–k this I’m not going to answer this. [Sharon] “Why? Have you got leather nickers on? (laughs).”

OzzFest 2006 winds down this year August 13 in West Palm Beach, Florida. The T-shirt Ozzy created for the charity features his signature hand painted stick figure, and the limited edition t-shirt is available at hardrock.com and at Hard Rock shops across the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
