STEVEN WEBER REUNITES WITH STEPHEN KING
Steven Weber is a familiar face on television having starred for seven seasons on the comedy Wings. On the small screen Steven has a link to horror writer Stephen King as he’s made mini series adaptations of The Shining and Desperation. Reuniting with the master of horror in You Know They Got a Hell of A Band making it’s debut on TNT’s Nightmares and Dreamscapes series, Steven talks about what happens when he and his wife played by Kim Delaney take a summer road trip vacation. |
In the Stephen King world there’s always more to the story than things going bump in the night. Steven says there’s a message behind getting lost in a rock n’ roll town where the icons are all dead. |
“Like all husbands they insist upon never asking directions so he uses his own sense of direction which is piss poor and he gets them lost and they find themselves in this small town called Rock n Roll Heaven. They encounter very familiar looking denizens of the town, some of whom the audience would recognize readily.” |
There is a free concert every night in Rock n’ Roll Heaven, Oregon but the admission is high because once the audience enters they can never leave. You Know They Got a Hell of a Band airs tomorrow at 10PM on TNT.rn |
“This has a lot to say about America’s love affair with pop culture and their addiction to pop culture, their addiction to mediocrity and plasticity and all that stuff, commercialism. Maybe it’s a way of indicating how people can get lost in their love, in their addiction to commercialism or pop culture.” |
