DUFF SISTERS DRESS BARBIE

Haylie and Hilary Duff have taken their childhood love of Barbie and turned it into an enterprise. The sisters now have a Barbie in their image Fashion Fever Barbie dolls, along with a new line of girl’s apparel, a Barbie fragrance and accessories.

There is definitely a design streak running through the girls as they shared a trailer on the set of their new movie Material Girls and created a one of a kind dog house for their visiting pups.

Haylie: “We did Ice Breakers and we did Barbie so we’ve chosen to do some fun cool ones. Hilary: We got to design clothes. We love Barbie. Haylie: We’re Barbie fans. Hilary: But they have really cool couture clothes in Japan that are for Barbie but they’re like for adults. So we got to actually design a line of clothes. They made Barbies of Haylie and I and we got to design the clothes and it was really cool. And you know Anna Sui has a Barbie doll and all these designers have designer clothes so we felt special.”

Hilary hopes to design a doggie couture line called Little Dog Duff in memory of her beloved fox terrier mix Little Dog. Material Girls opens tomorrow.rn

Haylie: We did it was awesome. We loved it. We actually asked for it to be that way. Hilary: They had two for us but we’re like we’ll share it. What are we gonna do? Haylie: Run back and forth between both of them? Hilary: It was pretty big so we had room for all of our clothes. We had space. Hilary: We just brought our dogs. Haylie: The one thing that we did do in the trailer is we had some big thing delivered in a big cardboard box so one day we were bored we cut it up into a dog house and we painted pictures all over it so we had this random cardboard box as a dog house. Hilary: They never used it either. Haylie: It just kind of took up a lot of room.”
