OUTKAST KEEPING IDLEWILD DETAILS UNDER WRAPS

OutKast break up rumors have been running rampant since the group released 2003’s Speakerboxx-The Love Below, which consisted of two solo albums by the group’s Big Boi and Andre 3000. However lately the rumors have hit a fever pitch causing Andre 3000 to address them publicly. The rapper told MTV.com, “People hit me in the street like, ‘Yeah man, I heard the bad news. Sorry to hear about that. I’m like ‘Man, what are you talking about?’ Everything is still tight, most definitely.”

The group released their new album, Idlewild, today, August 22nd, and a feature film also titled Idlewild will hit theaters, Friday, August 25th. The group’s Big Boi shared what fans can expect from the movie. He said,

“It’s not like the typical musical. It’s like there’s music components in it but what happens is it’s two stories going on at the same time. Dre plays Percival. I play Rooster. Ah man can’t give a whole lot away. We been kinda keeping it to a minimum of information we give out so ya’ll can be surprised when ya’ll see it. And we gonna keep it like that there, yeah!”

Idlewild was directed by Bryan Barber and stars Outkast, Terrence Howard, Paula Jai Parker, Ving Rhames, Faizon Love, Malinda Williams, Patti LaBelle, Ben Vereen, Macy Gray, and Cicely Tyson.
