KATE BEAHAN COMPLIMENTS CAGE IN THE WICKER MAN

(VIDEO) Kate Beahan who plays Nicolas Cage’s former fiance in The Wicker Man has high opinion of the actor.

Kate Beahan plays Willow, the ex-fiance of Nicolas Cage’s character in The Wicker Man who left him years ago without an explanation. When her daughter goes missing she contacts Cage, a police officer to try and find her. Their connection on screen was helped by Kate’s high opinion of Cage.

Nicolas who produced the film chose the Australian actress for the role of Willow because she possessed the mysterious quality on camera that the character embodied.

“Nicolas is great. He’s ever so funny and very bright and passionate and intensely focused. I couldn’t have asked for a more kind of generous and aware actor with whom to work. He’s really so giving in scenes and absolutely there and wonderful, wonderful person.”

The Wicker Man opens today in theaters nationwide.

“His connection with Willow is that she is the elusive love of his life that he can never comprehend why she left him. She just up and left and so she’s always lingered in his mind. He never got over her. She’s the one that got away that he never got over. So there’s a very soft spot in his heart. It’s almost like opposites attracting. They’re not like each other at all but there’s an exotic appeal.”
