PANIC AT THE DISCO PROVES SMALL BUDGET EQUALS BIG RETURNS
With their win at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards for Video Of The Year, the band proves that a low budget can go a long way. The clip for “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” was nominated for five awards and took home the coveted Video Of The Year, with a shoestring budget. |
Vocalist Brendon Urie and guitarsist Ryan Ross talked about working with director Dhane Drake and the low video budget for their Video Of The Year. |
[Urie] “I don’t know. The first video that was done on such a low budget and just such bad circumstances, but now that we’ll have a better budget this time, I’m sure it will be…” [Ross] “This has been the lowest budget to ever win Video Of The Year. It has to be. (It was) around 30 grand. We were very hands on with it though. Us and Shane.” |
