JOSHUA JACKSON GROWS UP IN AURORA BOREALIS
(VIDEO) After six years of playing a teen on Dawson’s Creek, Joshua Jackson gets an adult role in Aurora Borealis. |
Dawson Creek star Joshua Jackson is all grown up and starring in Aurora Borealis named for a celestial cluster also known as the Northern Lights. The film was shot during the winter months in Minneapolis where Joshua spent some of his scenes outside in the snowy frigid weather. Joshua suffered the cold for the opportunity to break out of his teen image and show his talents in a more adult role. |
In the film Joshua plays a young man dealing with the death of his father who returns to the home of his grandparents and is also confronted by his grandfather’s struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Joshua says he can relate to his character’s growing pains. |
“This satisfies the actor in me and I’m fully willing to see out on that curb with my freezing wet ass and laugh my way through a scene because these are the kinds of opportunities that I’ve always wanted to have. Even before I knew who the rest of the cast was I really actively pursued getting this job. The cold bum doesn’t bother me so much. You find the energy to go through things like that because after six years of working on a TV show this is the type of thing that I’ve been waiting for.” |
The woman he meets is played by Juliette Lewis. Aurora Borealis also stars Donald Sutherland as his grandfather and Louise Fletcher as his grandmother, opening tomorrow. |
“He’s an emotionally stunted young man who is just doing his best to try and get by and figure out his place in his family. He has the great good fortune to meet a wonderful woman which gets our story rolling. He’s every guy I grew up with, he’s me. He could be in any neighborhood anywhere in the world or at least the western world. I know him very well. This guy would be named Josh Jackson.” |
