“The King Of Crunk,” Lil Jon, has been sneaking away to Las Vegas all summer to work on his forthcoming debut album, Crunk Rock. The king of crunk plans to record with Snoop Dogg, Mariah Carey, and R. Kelly. Meanwhile the lead single from the project, “Snap Yo Fingers” featuring E-40 and Sean Paul of YoungBloodz, is one of the biggest hits of the summer. |
Jon recently broke down his creative process, particularly how difficult it is to write and produce a song for himself. He said, |
“Me as a producer is very hard on me as an artist. And me as a producer is hard on me as a songwriter to make sure I write the best possible stuff I can write. So it’s all definitely different mes and they come together and make who I am. Yeah!” |
Lil Jon plans to release Crunk Rock in December. |
In related news, Lil Jon’s BME label will release, Lil Scrappy’s sophomore album, Bred 2 Die, Born 2 Live, next month. Scrappy recently released the first single and video from the project, “Money In The Bank” featuring Young Buck. |
Bred 2 Die, Born 2 Live will be co-executive produced by Lil Jon and 50 Cent and will feature guest appearances by Lil’ Jon, 50 Cent, Bohagon, Mase, and Young Dro, with production by Jazze Pha, Sha Money XL, and Shondrae. |
