MARK RUFFALO IS A PAWN IN ALL THE KINGS MEN

(VIDEO) Mark Ruffalo stars in All The Kings Men as a connected philanthropist who is blackmailed into helping crooked politician Willie Stark.

Mark Ruffalo stars in the film All The Kings Men as Adam Stanton one of the characters in Robert Penn Warren’s novel who tries to do good amidst the dirty politics of Louisiana incumbent Willie Stark.

Despite trying to stay clean in Stark’s political arena, Mark says Stanton gets caught up in Willie’s dirty dealings.

“His father was the great governor and so he’s sort of dedicated his life to this philanthropy taking care of …where we find him in the book he basically has a free clinic for the poor.”

All The Kings Men is directed by noted screenplay writer Steven Zaillian who penned The Interpreter, Gangs of New York and Hannibal to mention a few. His next script American Gangster is currently shooting in New York.rnrn

“He sees through his politics. He’s that he’s actually a pretty dirty politician. He gets embroiled in all the intrigue of that and is sort of blackmailed into coming in and running Willie’s hospital.”
