MYA TAKES A SHOT AT 50 CENT

Singer Mya has previously denied 50 Cent’s statement that he had sexual relations with her which were included on a mixtape diss track aimed at The Game. Now Mya is taking it a step further. She told Vibe.com, “50 and I never dated … despite what he chooses to believe in his own mind. I don’t know how he would get Lloyd Banks confused with me.”

In related news, Mya is releasing her fourth solo album, Liberation, on November 14th on Motown Records. The first single from the project is “Ayo” featuring DJ Kool.

“Naturally you know there’s progression from album number one to two to three to four. And that’s creative, that’s also in my professional life as far as the business woman is concerned. Just a natural progression, nothing forced but I would just say things have fallen into place. But I’ve also had to take some time and step back to break things down and change up teams to revamp a new one in my favor.”

The singer recently explained how her career has progressed. She said,

Mya released her self-titled Interscope platinum debut in 1998 at the age of 18. The singer has since released two albums, 2000’s gold-certified Fear Of Flying and 2003’s gold certified Mood Ring.

The singer also won a Grammy in 2001 for performing a Missy Elliott-produced version of “Lady Marmalade” from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack with Pink, Lil Kim, and Christina Aguilera.
