SPRINGSTEEN E-STREET BAND STILL ON HIATUS, NO SOPRANOS…
(VIDEO) Max Weinberg, former drummer for the E-street band, says Bruce hasn’t called yet, and neither has Little Steven aka Silvio Dante of the Sopranos…. |
Bruce Springsteen hasn’t decided to get his band back together — that is the E-Street band. He is currently touring with his Seeger Sessions band, and so far the E-Streeters are enjoying their other jobs. |
Drummer Max Weinberg has a day job as the drummer for the Conan O’Brien show band, and we asked him about the future with the Boss. |
“No, you know we haven’t talked about that. He’s on tour now with, well he’s going to be on tour in a few days with his Seeger sessions band. We’ve had our time in the spotlight. Pretty much it’s a five day a week job, so my focus is playing with my band on the Late Night With Conan O’Brien show, and love to do it, you know.” |
Fellow E-street band member Little Steven has his projects, a syndicated radio show, solo artist, and most notably a consiglieri on the mob HBO hit The Sopranos. So will Weinberg appear in the show with his bandmate? |
[Laughing] “Nah. Me? Maybe as a corpse or something.” |
Weinberg was on hand for the 35th Anniversary of the Hard Rock Cafe earlier in the week. The event featured a performance by Motley Crue with a cameo by Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, plus attendees OAR, Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, Even Seinfeld of Biohazard and Damnocracy, and ex-Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul among others. |
