STORMBREAKER STAR ALEX PETTYFER IS TEENAGE JAMES BOND
(VIDEO) Move over James Bond for teenage spy Alex Rider played by newcomer Alex Pettyfer in Stormbreaker. |
Britain’s newest import, the reluctant teenage spy Alex Rider will do for four wheelers what James Bond 007 did for the Astin Martin. Armed with his own gadgets including pimple cream that eats through steel, newcomer Alex Pettyfer stars as Rider in Stormbreaker based on the best selling adventure series about a school boy who unwittingly gets recruited into M16 as a secret agent. |
Alex is experiencing the same reluctance about becoming a star as his character is about becoming a spy. He doesn’t want to be treated any differently by his friends at school. |
“Every day life for him is a training method, school, walking, cycling; everything consists of Alex being trained. I think he’s being trained in a way where his uncle’s molded him into this spy without him knowing which I think is very difficult for him when he finds out.” |
He may have to wait as Alex Rider looks to become an on-going sequel. For now the former Gap model’s first mission is to take down Mickey Rourke’s sinister computer plot to destroy England in Stormbreaker opening tomorrow in theaters.rn |
“I want them to feel that I’m just the same as them because I am the same as them. I just want them to have a good time with me. I don’t really want to talk about movies or action. I just want to be normal. I want to be a normal kid. I just want to go back to school and have fun with them. I just want to go back to school and play footsie with my mates and muck around like a normal child does.” |
