(VIDEO) Wu-Tang Clan reunion album is still up in the air…… |
The Wu-Tang Clan is made up of RZA, GZA, the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killah, U-God, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna, who became an unofficial group member following the release of their platinum 1993 debut Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). The group has been touring since the November 2004 death of Ol’ Dirty Bastard but have yet to reunite for a new group album. |
The Wu-Tang Clan’s U-God explained what’s held up the reunion project. He said, |
“Well we getting ready to get our s**t together in a minute, you know what I mean? We gonna through a lot of in between the circle things, black people things. And you know we gonna get it together.” |
The group’s last release was 2001’s Iron Flag. Since the release of that project several group members including U-God, Cappadonna, and Method Man have publicly suggested that there were some issues around royalty payments and group finances. |
So far this year, Ghostface Killah and Method Man have released solo projects. Ol Dirty Bastard’s posthumous album is slated for release next month while Raekwon, U-God, and Inspectah Deck are working on solo releases for 2007. |
