R&B singer and aspiring rapper Tyrese has set a new release date for his new album, Alter Ego. The double album was initially scheduled for release on December 5th, now it will hit stores on December 19th. Tyrese was forced to revamp the project after it was leaked in September. The album is a step in a new direction for the singer as half of it will feature him rapping under his Black Ty alias. So far he’s planning to shoot two videos for the project, one for an R&B song and one for a rap record. |
Alter Ego will feature guest appearances by Chingy, Game, Snoop Dogg, David Banner, Method Man, Kurupt, and Lil Scrappy with production by R. Kelly, Bryan Michael-Cox, Mannie Fresh, Scott Storch, and the Frontline Boys. |
“My first break came from the Coke commercial. But prior to that, you know it was about doing every talent show that I heard about. It was about going to as many places as I could to just be exposed, you know what I’m sayin’? That’s what it is. You got to surround yourself with people that do what you ant to do and keep it moving and be passionate. Don’t ever get comfortable with how much money you make or how many cars you got and how many girls is after you. I’m grinding.” |
Tyrese, who is currently shooting the action movie, Transformers, had some words of advice for aspiring artists. He said, |
