MOBB DEEP TO RELEASE GREATEST HITS SET

(VIDEO) Mobb Deep set to release greatest hits set on Halloween…..

Mobb Deep and affiliates Sam Scarfo and 40 Glocc were scheduled to travel to Chile last weekend for a concert but the group narrowly escaped a serious catrastrophe when their plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Tampa, Florida. The incident occured early Saturday, October 21st, when the rappers boarded Delta Flight 147 in Atlanta. About an hour after take off, flames and smoke started to pour for one of the plane’s engines. The plane was able to land safely at 12:30 a.m. in Tampa as emergency crews watched. The group is now back in New York until their tour resumes next week in India.

In related news, Mobb Deep will release a greatest hits CD, Life of the Infamous: The Best of Mobb Deep, next Tuesday, October 31st. The set will include two previously unreleased tracks. A companion DVD will also be released, Life of the Infamous: The Videos, which will include all the group’s videos.

“I mean basically right then when we put out the Juevnile Hell album we only did like three of the songs as far as production. We only produced like three of the songs on the album. We wasn’t really business-minded at that time. We was just little kids man, really happy to have a record deal, you know what I mean? So when the album didn’t do too good, we already knew why it didn’t do too good,.and we knew what we had to do to fix it, you know what I mean? So that just made us more serious about the music. More serious about the business. And just go in there and really make an album that’s, you what I mean, gonna make people wanna spend their hard earned money on it. You know what I’m sayin’?”

Mobb Deep released their debut album Juvenile Hell in 1993. The album wasn’t a big hit but it set the group up to record their classic breakthrough album, The Infamous. Prodigy explained how the group was thinking as they prepared to record their sophomore album. He said,
