Avenged Sevenfold have begun working on the follow up to 2005’s breakthrough album ‘City of Evil.’

After so much success in the past with the single ‘Bat Country,’ the band talked about the pressures to live up past success and how the band deals with the pressure of the proverbial industry question “What have you done lately.”

“No not at all. We have so many ideas in our heads and we’ve never been a band that buckles under any sort of pressure because we just write what we love and do what we love and that works best for us. So I think if any of us ever tried to conformed and make something just because we thought it’d be successful, it’d be a certain failure. So, we just do what we do.”

Avenged Sevenfold have concluded their touring for 2006 and the band will look to finish off writing for the new material and have a new record out for the music hungry fans sometime, hopefully in 2007.
