KORN, DISTURBED, SUM 41, AVENGED RECALL SCARIEST MOVIES

The Fuse Fangoria Awards took place on Sunday, October 15, and it fused horror movies and music. The awards honored musicians but also honored the new scary movies of the year including The Hills Have Eyes, The Omen, and Saw II. |
On the red carpet of the awards Disturbed’s David Draiman and Avenged Sevenfold talked about some of the movies they shouldn’t have seen as kids. |
[Avenged Sevenfold] “Um the first ones I remember are Nightmare On Elm Street and Friday The 13th, but I was big fans of them, yeah Child’s Play. I was seven or something like that.” [Disturbed] “Favorite Halloween memories… I remember being afraid to trick or treat after I had seen without my parents knowing snuck it and watched it without their permisssion the first Halloween movie. I didn’t feel right roaming the streets anymore.” |
Korn’s Jonathan Davis added: |
“My favorite Horror film of all time is The Exorcist. It always has been. I don’t think anyone will ever be able to top that. Seeing it as a little kid it scared the s–t out of me, and I’ve never recovered from it.” |
Sum 41 drummer Steve-O talked with us about a real-life Halloween scary moment. |
[Steve O] “I used to get beat up at the park right above my house, because you’d have to walk through and it was dark and so the older kids would wait for you to have a full bag of candy and beat you up and take your candy.” [Deryck] “I was the older kid…” [Steve O] “It was YOU!!! Yeah. It was pretty miserable.” |
The Fuse Fangoria Awards were hosted by Jamie Kennedy, and performers at the awards included Chingy, Avenged Sevenfold, and 30 Seconds To Mars. The awards aired on October 22 on Fuse with repeats scheduled through the next few months. |
