Martin Short says he’s perfectly cast as Jack Frost, the sleazy and cheesy character who makes a play to steal Christmas from St. Nick and take over the North Pole in Santa Claus 3: The Escape Clause.

Short an all around entertainer who has become known for combining comedy with song and dance was also perfectly cast to perform a musical number in the film.

“He’s lovable in a sleazy cheesy way. I mean he’s constantly sucking up to people but none of it is sincere. I don’t think there’s a sincere bone in his body which therefore makes me correct casting.”

Martin can currently be seen on Broadway in his satirical one-man show Fame Becomes Me. He is currently filming The Spiderwick Chronicles, a fantasy world filled with fairies and creatures.rn

“Doing a big number like that was hilarious and you kind of forget that you’re in these prosthetics and this Santa outfit and you’re doing it especially at that point Jack Frost is such a cheese ball. This is his moment.”
