PAPOOSE AND CLIPSE SET TO ROCK THE APOLLO
The Clipse and Papoose are scheduled to perform at the 10th annual Justo Mixtape Awards which are scheduled for December 7th at the Apollo Theater in New York City. Justo Faison, who founded the award show in 1995 to recognize the mixtape community, died in a car accident in Virginia in May 2005. |
Papoose was able to secure a $1.5 million deal from Jive Records after the success of his mixtapes while the Clipse were able to keep their brand alive during a three year recordig hiatus because of their successful, We Got It For Cheap mixtape series. |
