Madonna, performing at her first US Festival in her career, thrilled the Coachella crowd in 2006, not only with her singing and dancing, but as a pure entertainer at the top of her game. Performing to a packed Sahara Tent just after Paul Oakenfold, Madonna’s groove kept drawing more fans with her infectious music and impeccably timed choreography. Photographer Brian Yates, braved the ‘elements’ and captured one of the most talked about sets in Coachella’s history. It was also announced that next year Coachella will be expanding to a three day festival starting April 27th and lasting until April 29th on the same Polo Field as the last seven years.
