T.I. MAKES OSCAR PREDICTION FOR NEXT YEAR

T.I. says his new movie, American Gangster, will be in the Oscar running next year.

T.I. had a big year in 2006 with his most successful album, King, and his big screen debut in ATL. The rapper has vowed that 2007 will be even bigger. He’s currently working on a very ambitious concept album title, T.I. v T.I.P. where he will face-off aginst himself and he recently completed work on a new movie, American Gangster.

American Gangster’s cast includes Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, Cuba Gooding Jr, Josh Brolin, Common, and the RZA. T.I. shared what it was like working with Denzel. He said,

“Working with Denzel? Ay man Denzel one of the coolest people that I ever met in the world you know what I’m sayin’? I mean in a professional setting, I mean you know it would have been real easy for him to make uncomfortable or for Ridley Scott to make me uncomfortable or for Brian Graser to make me uncomfortable. Not only me, but Common is in the movie a long with me. You got RZA in the movie a long with me. There’s a lot of people, you know a lot of first time. Well not first time actors, first time actors on this level. It was a tremendous pleasure and an honor for me to be involved. I mean I can’t say enough positive things about Denzel, and Russell Scott, and Ridley Scott, and Brian Graser. You know American Gangster look for it this November. It’s gonna be in the Oscars next year, I assure you.”

The film hits theaters November 2nd.
