Justin Timberlake filmed his role in Black Snake Moan in his hometown of Memphis. |
Justin Timberlake plays a discharged Iraq soldier who not only has to handle his own inadequacies but also accept his girlfriend’s dangerous sexual appetite in Black Snake Moan. |
The film was shot in Justin’s hometown of Memphis, Tennessee which he says provided an authentic southern flavoring to the story. |
“You have to shoot this movie in Memphis. It has to be told from a Memphian’s or Southern person’s perspective as far as the director and it doesn’t hurt to have actors from Chattanooga and Memphis. You know what I mean? I think that the Tennessee link between Craig, myself and Sam, all the crew and everybody working. This movie is getting made a Southern way and I think it’s having an effect on everyone’s performances as well.” |
Justin says when it comes to being on location, there’s no place like home. |
“It’s good, it’s fun. I highly recommend it to all your actors out there. Get a supporting role in a film where you can film in your hometown and you get to hang out with all your family and friends and it’s been great.” |
Justin’s next acting project is the voice of Artie, Fiona’s rebellious cousin and rightful heir to the throne to the land of Far, Far Away in Shrek The Third. |
