GHOST COMES ALIVE ON DVD
Greg Kinnear uncovers the truth about what might be in that juicy fast food burger in Fast Food Nation. |
Ghost comes alive on DVD with a special collector’s edition bringing back one of the most romantic films of all time. The 1990 classic love affair portrayed by Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore went way beyond the physical world. Whoopi Goldberg won an academy award for the psychic who helps Swayze communicate his undying love and warn Moore that she’s in danger. |
Demi and Patrick recall playing their characters Sam and Molly. |
“I did six scenes and at first it was like, ‘Ok prove it,’ but as I went on I could feel them warming up and I warmed up and I started realizing that this could be one of those roles of a lifetime. Demi: Molly could be anybody, she’s anybody. It doesn’t matter. She could’ve been a banker. She could’ve been a florist. It’s not about what she did. It’s about how she feels towards the man she loves.” |
Ghost was a film that almost didn’t get made. Director Jerry Zucker had definite ideas about where he wanted the story to go and Patrick Swayze was very vocal about what he wanted as well which created behind-the-scenes conflict. |
“You know of course like any films there were also times where I wanted to jump out a window. Patrick: I love volatile situations as long as it’s not about ego but it’s about a mutual goal. You know, I love to scream, yell, holler and Jerry’s not a screamer, yeller, hollerer, so I think I was a little intense for him but we had a really wonderful working relationship because I truly trusted his eye and his heart. I knew that when Jerry said he got it, that he got it.” |
Extra features on the Ghost Special Collector’s Edition DVD include Ghost Stories: The Making Of A Classic, Inside The Paranormal, and Alchemy of a Love Scene remembering when Swayze’s ghost visits Moore’s pottery session. |
