PATRICK STEWART CAPTAINS 3,000 YEAR OLD ENTERPRISE
Patrick Stewart is the captain of an entirely different enterprise in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He stars as evil mastermind Maximillian J. Winters who is the leader of an army of ancient giant monsters wreaking havoc on the earth for three thousand years. |
Patrick describes how his voice reflected the character. |
“We’ve tried to do something with the voice that creates something of a contrast between the appearance and the sound but there’s something it’s a little odd about the way he sounds. But it’s creating, trying at times to give a feeling of a voice that has been speaking for 3,000 years so it’s not quite contemporary, not quite modern, not exactly what you see with the image of what Winters looks like.” |
Patrick says the look of the film is very different from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of the eighties. |
“The world that the artists have created so far as it concerns the background of Winters, of prehistoric heroes, of grotesque and bizarre monsters that are now here in the 21st century. There is sort of a grandeur about the look of the film at times that I think is gonna be unusual, impressive.” |
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles takes a more menacing and darker turn going back to the original comic book where there was some friction going on between the four turtles Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael. |
